2023 Summer Educator
(Hiring multiple candidates)
(Hiring multiple candidates)
We are a small, organic farm entering into our second season of kids programs after an extremely healthy start. After expanding our programming, we are looking for 2-3 excellent educators to add to our team! We have an educator in place for all AM sessions, and we are looking for someone to work with her, as well as find 2 educators to cover the PM sessions (see schedule details below). Priority will be given to educators who are able to cover BOTH AM and PM sessions, but applications with selective availability will still be reviewed. Applications for substitutes will also be honored.
The role will be working alongside another teacher to support child-led free play (in a self-contained space) while also providing hands-on experiences around the farm. Interacting with the animals (chickens and goats), digging in the dirt, exploring nature and learning about growing food are the priorities in this program!
Some paid curriculum planning and paid orientation time before the start of programming will be required. The exact dates and times are flexible, and can work around a teacher's schedule. Curriculum planning is minimal, and is more to customize existing plans to better fit your teaching style.
